ROBOTICS | Future Innovators : Robotics & Coding Bootcamp for Children

Early Bird Offer: Save $100 on Camps!

Unleash innovation and creativity with the ARTec Holiday Robotics & Coding!

Wow! ARTec offers world-class innovative robotics, coding and A.I. education experiences that empower children to unlock their full potential. Our experiential learning approach engages children in hands on projects, develop their problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and equip them with the essential digital skills to embrace the future with confidence.

During this 3-day workshop, children shall engage in activities that involve investigation, experimentation, and hands on projects. They shall build and code robots in simulated real-life applications, that encourages creative problem-solving and develop a growth mindset of inquiry and curiosity. The workshop is a great initiative to inspire and prepare children for a future that increasingly relies on technology and innovation

Day 1
  • Discover the workings of motors, LEDs and Buzzers as children construct their robots
  • Learn to assemble and connect the different parts to the Studuino Board
  • Understand the basics of using Scratch programming
  • Program the LEDs to blink and the Buzzers to play a melody
  • Discover the use of light sensors to measure the brightness of light and sound sensors to measure the volume of sound
  • Learn to program the light and sound sensors using programming varaiables

Day 2

  • Understand the real life application through integrating the codes to a robot that responds to sound and light
  • Learn to program a variety of codes to move the Robotic car.
  • Understand the concept of speed using distance and time
  • Learn to program the “script” field to change the speed of the DC motor to turn and rotate the car.
  • Understand functions and workings of an IR Photoreflector.
  • Understand the usage of flowchart to create two Collision Avoidance programs.
  • Build a self driving car with IR Photoreflector
  • Learn to create a program that will get the self driving car to move through a maze without hitting any obstacles.

Day 3

  • Recap on the different mechanism used in the Robots
  • Recap on the learning of the concept of Speed and rotation
  • Recap on the different codes used for the DC motors, LED, Buzzers, Sensors, IR Photoreflectors
  • Children shall build and code their robots to perform different tasks, whilst discovering and learning on “sustainable development for the future”.
  • They shall apply their learning in real life applications by engaging in the below missions.

Mission 1 : Sustainable Living – Recycle to reduce waste
Mission 2: Green Energy – Self-drive electric vehicle
