Aims and objectives

This course aims to provide learners with the necessary knowledge and practical skills required to perform Hand and Foot Reflexology. It is suitable for individuals, spa and freelance therapists who wish to learn Hand and Foot Reflexology techniques.

Content

This course consists of 21 hours of guided learning, combining theory with hands-on practical training, and includes assessment through practical activities and oral questioning.

The learner will primarily practice the following skills:

• Hand and foot massage – to determine the 64 reflex zones of the hand and foot, the organs/body systems they correspond to, their benefits, and their effect on both branches of the autonomic nervous system.
• Conducting consultation with the client to assess therapy suitability, including contraindications, benefits, and bad effects; review and update the client’s profile.
• Practice Hand and foot reflexology massage techniques in accordance with its massage sequence. 
• In addition, the learner will gain knowledge about health and hygiene, safety, client care, and communication, all of which are crucial for success in the profession.
• Using standard routine tasks, the learner will also learn to create a conducive and comfortable environment in the workspace.

Certificate to be Awarded

Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a Certificate of Completion awarded by ProTherapist Academy.

Minimum entry requirements

• Primary school or equivalent
• Conversant in English
• 18 years old and above
• Learners must be reasonably fit as this course requires physical movements.
• During practical training, learners must be able to receive and give massage for learning and assessment purposes.

Evening classes: 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Massage Towels SGD$72.00
(Towels are required for the course. Learners may bring their own or purchase from the school
